Impossible is nothing - Part1

Few days back Rama Chandra had an gallbladder stone operation. Generally its an easy and non-risky operation. But it went problematic with him. Because of heavy bleeding, it took 10 days to be normal and to get released from the hospital. He was looking like and feeling very week, even unable to move a step ahead by his own.

But even in this condition, that day he was very happy. His elder son was going to take admission in a very good Engineering college. It is like a dream comes to true. Rama Chandra and his wife had a very tough time and did a lot of hard work for this day. There were many days when they restricted themselves to fulfill their needs and save money for their children. The younger son is studying in his 12th class.

Keeping the tears in eyes, Rama Chandra is remembering the old struggle days.

It was the time when India became independent, Rama Chandra born in a poor family. It is a very small village in Uttar Pradesh state of India. He was the youngest in his siblings. It was a big family, they were 8 siblings, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. It was the time when no one generally used to bother for the bright future, career or education, specially in a poor families like this. Every one used to think to earn bread and butter for the day. It itself was a challenge in those days.

But Rama Chandra was a bit different and had an affection for books and education. He decided to go to school. Any how he got an admission in the school of the village with his 2 other brothers. He had the interest and the willingness to get the education and to do some thing good for the future. But all of the hopes went down when his father got expire suddenly when he was of 7 years of age. He was in just second standard in his school.

It was a heavy loss for the family. The head of the family and who was the main source of the income, was no more. The situations became very critical now. It was a big financial crisis in the family now. No one  used to do anything other than the work to earn money. It was the time when the family used to eat the food only once a days and the food was just the breads - not the wheat but the bajra breads. Wheat was not affordable those days for the poor.

Now it was a pressure from other family members to wasting time to attend the school, and start doing some work so that every one can earn money to manage the daily lives. The other brothers left the school and start doing small work to get money.

It was a tough situation of Rama Chandra, but he did what he had decided. He did not stopped to go to school. He continued his education even in these tough conditions. He had the long discussions and arguments with his mother and brothers for the education. Every one was against.

After few days it was even difficult to purchase the books and to submit the school fees even though the fees used to be very less those days. Then he decided to ....
